A harder counter-pressure spring results in a later switching of the converter, which has a better effect on the motor. When using a sports exhaust, it may be useful to use a harder back-pressure spring to obtain better acceleration.
Filling lighter weight weights and a harder counter-pressure spring can have a disadvantageous effect. Please try one at a time!
The different spring thicknesses differ by the color.
Athena specifies the differences in kilograms that press against the transducer:
- blue: 22 KG Use: Original replacement to slightly tuned engines
- yellow: 27 KG Application: slightly tuned engines up to 10 hp
- red: 32 KG Use: heavily tuned engines over 10 hp
- green: 25 KG Use: Original replacement to slightly tuned engines
- black: 30 KG Use: slightly tuned engines up to 10 hp
- violet: 35 KG Application: heavily tuned engines over 10 hp
