6on hearing protection 31.9 dB
According to DIN EN352-1:2020
- Ear muffs with optimal shielding
- Size flexibly adjustable
- Strong hearing protection up to 34 dB
- Special wearing comfort due to imitation leather headrest
Level range:
SNR: 31.9 dB
High: 34,8 dB
Medium: 30.4 dB
Low: 21 dB
The employer must provide hearing protection from 80 dB average exposure over day OR from 135 dB impulse noise (short sound event).
From over 85 dB average exposure over day OR over 137 dB impulse noise, hearing protection must be worn permanently.
The SNR value (31.9 for this product) indicates the attenuation of the noise in dB.
This reduced by 5 (legal value for fluctuations) is subtracted from the actual noise level.
The correction value of 5 dB is intended to compensate for leakage due to incorrect wearing, for example, and can be disregarded if employees are instructed on a quarterly basis.
The target range of noise with hearing protection is between 70 and 80 dB, i.e. good protection and still not completely deaf to warning signals and the like.
Calculation example:
Hearing protection 31.9dB: 80 dB (upper limit of target range) + 31.9dB (attenuation) - 5dB (legal fluctuation surcharge) = 106.9dB maximum noise level
With additional regular instruction, a maximum volume of 106.9 dB+5 dB= 111.9 dB is possible.
